AML Editing
Fantasy | Science Fiction | Romance
My approach toward editing is simple.
When working alongside another professional, the process should be collaborative, constructive, and supportive. My task as your editor is not to focus solely on the elements of your story but you as a writer as well. Aside from forging character arcs and filling plot holes, I will assess the strengths and weaknesses in your craft and help you achieve that next evolution.
Developmental Editing
Substantive editing is a deep dive into your novel's structure, plot, character arcs, pacing, dialogue, tropes, style, theme, and worldbuilding. It provides a fresh perspective and in-depth analysis to help you tighten your manuscript and make it more engaging.I approach manuscripts with the belief that focusing solely on what needs to be improved upon does a disservice to writers. Therefore, my feedback will feature what works well, what needs some extra attention, and structural suggestions to bring your vision further into focus and marry it with market expectations.
Included:
Comprehensive analysis of structure, plot, character, pacing, dialogue, tropes, style, theme, and worldbuilding
Suggestions for improvements and revisions on structural components
In-line feedback via annotations in margins
Editorial letter (10-30 page analysis discussing and critiquing the story)
Book map (structural overview of your story)

Beta reading
Beta reading is similar to a manuscript evaluation in that it offers an analysis of your story's structure but is conducted from the viewpoint of a reader. Feedback will be focused on the experience rather than the story's mechanics.
Included:
Summary document to address any issues in structure, plot, character, prose, pacing, dialogue, tropes, style, theme, and worldbuilding
In-line feedback via annotations in margins with reader reactions

Appropriate front and back matter

About
Cześć Kochanie!
My name is Anka, and I am an editor and ghostwriter of fantasy, sci-fi, and romance fiction.Throughout my youth, I had the privilege of being mentored by published authors and attending classes specifically geared to helping young writers grow into professional writers. This community support allowed me to receive several awards while in high school and local recognition. From there, I went on to earn a degree in Russian Language and Culture as well as Eastern European and Eurasian Studies and received a certificate in Russian Literature and Translation while studying at the St. Petersburg State University (Санкт-Петербургский государственный университет) in St. Petersburg, Russia.I first launched myself in the industry as an indie author, publishing erotica short stories before transitioning into editing and ghostwriting. I have worked for a total of 15 years in publishing and have had the joy of ghostwriting and editing for best-selling authors and publishing houses alike.I hope to bring all this experience to you and help you achieve your goals as a writer!
